Camp Counselor Job Description

Counselors are responsible for campers 24 hours a day, six days a week. Cabin time. Track instructors, Camp activities provide campers with the opportunity to experience many new activities, so counselors must be able to instruct activities to campers of all ages and abilities in a fun, interactive, and rewarding manner. Camp Counselors must be prepared for long days of work that include activity instruction, supervising cabin life, leading trips, and participating in and leading evening programs.

Job Descriptions

Positions Available:

  • Cabin Counselors (must be 18 or older)

  • Leaders in Training (must be 15) limited availability

  • Track and Activity Leaders (must be 18)

  • Barn Staff (must be 16)

  • Kitchen Staff (must not be afraid of food)

  • Camp Media/Photographer

Important Dates – Mandatory Staff Training  Week of June 7th

  • Staff Training Week – June 7 – June 11

  • Session 1 June 13 – June 18

  • Session 2 June 20 – June 25

  • Session 3 June 27 – July 2

  • Session 4 July 4 – July 9

  • Session 5 July 11 – July 16

  • Session 6 July 18 – July 23

Important note about Staff Training Week:

Staff Training Week is our most important week of the year and therefore is 100% mandatory because it is 100% vital to our mission and purpose of serving campers with excellence.  During staff training week, we will bond as a staff by playing, praying and learning together.  Staff week equips us to serve the Lord with excellence!
